Pretend Travel, for When You Just Can't Stand to Leave Home

March 1st 2009 00:08
What a great concept: fake travel!

This photo comes from Arturo de Albornoz, who lives in Mexico and (I think) is in the advertising business there.

Alberta Travel - Canada, by Arturo de Albornoz

Arturo liked the Travel Alberta ambience of what appears to be the Toronto subway system. But I think he's on to something much bigger.

Imagine a great hall full of displays like this from all over the world. Eiffel Tower to the right, Great Pyramid to the left, some famous American monuments straight down the hall.

I volunteer to take this travelling exhibition wherever in the world there are people with cameras.

Photo credit: Arturo de Albornoz on Flickr.com. Thank you, Arturo, for making this picture available.
